A free AI voiceover that sounds natural and stays private
Natural-sounding voices
AI-generated voices that sound far more lifelike than the usual robotic text-to-speech, with intonation that follows your punctuation.
Runs on your device
The voice is created inside your browser, so your text is never sent to a server. Only the voice itself is downloaded the first time, then kept for next time.
MP3 or WAV
Download the result as an MP3, handy for social media and video editing, or as a WAV with no loss of quality.
Several languages
English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Russian and Hindi, with several voices to choose from.
A free AI voiceover for your TikTok, YouTube and Reels videos
AI voiceovers are everywhere on TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels: a script read by a clear voice, with no need to record yourself or buy a microphone. With this text to speech tool, you write your script, choose a female or male voice, and get an audio file ready to drop into CapCut, Premiere Pro, Canva or any video editor. It also works for a presentation, a tutorial, a voicemail greeting, a homemade audiobook or language practice. It's free, with no sign-up, no audio watermark and no limit on how many voices you generate.
How AI turns text into a realistic voice
AI speech synthesis doesn't stitch together recorded sounds: a neural network, trained on hours of speech, works out the sound of the voice straight from the text. It takes pronunciation, rhythm and punctuation into account, which makes it sound much more natural than older text to speech voices. Here, all of that happens in your browser. The first time, the voice you chose is downloaded (about 80 to 110 MB, with the exact size shown beforehand) and then stays on your device, so next time generation starts right away. Your text is split into sentences, so you can listen as soon as the first one is ready. Voices marked “HD” are even more expressive but slower to produce: expect about twice the length of the audio on a computer, and longer on a phone.
Choosing the right voice and settings
For a short video voiceover, a slightly faster speed (1.1 to 1.2) adds energy; for a tutorial or a lesson, keep the normal speed. Write the way you want it to sound: short sentences, commas where a speaker would breathe, and numbers or abbreviations spelled out if pronunciation matters to you (“twenty-three” rather than “23”). Try several voices with the “Preview” button, which only reads the first sentence. For Arabic, Turkish, Japanese, Korean and Chinese, there is no AI voice yet: the text is then read with your browser's own voices, which you can listen to but not download.
Using AI voices respectfully
This tool only offers generic synthetic voices: it doesn't copy a celebrity's voice and it can't clone anyone's voice. Use it for your own content, don't make people believe that a real person said the words, and don't use it to mislead, harass or spread false information. On social media, it's good practice, and sometimes required, to say that a voice was generated by AI.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this AI voice generator really free?
Yes: free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many times you generate. Each generation accepts up to 4,000 characters; for a longer text, generate it in several parts.
How do I download the voice as an MP3?
Once the voice is generated, click “Download as MP3”. The conversion happens in your browser and takes a few seconds. The WAV file is available straight away.
Why is the first generation slower?
The first time, the voice you chose has to be downloaded to your device (its size is shown under the voice menu). Your browser then keeps it, so later generations start within a few seconds.
Is my text sent over the internet?
No. The voice is created by your browser, on your device: the text is neither sent nor stored. Only the voice files are downloaded. For languages without an AI voice, your browser's own voices read the text; some “online” voices in Chrome or Edge go through the browser's publisher.
Can I use this voiceover in a TikTok or YouTube video?
Yes. The voices were chosen from voices released under open licenses that allow this kind of use. Import the MP3 into your video editor (CapCut, Premiere Pro, Canva…) and place it under your footage. Remember to say the voice is AI-generated if the platform asks for it.
Can I imitate a celebrity or clone my own voice?
No. The tool only offers generic voices that don't imitate anyone. Imitating a real person's voice without their consent can mislead the public and violate their rights.
