Which voice should you choose?
The available voices depend on your device and browser. On Chrome and Edge, online voices (marked with a cloud), like “Google” or “Microsoft … Natural”, are the most natural-sounding. On Mac, iPhone, and Android, system voices also offer very good quality; more voices can be downloaded in the accessibility settings.

Can I download the reading as MP3?
No: browser voices don't allow recording the sound directly. To get an audio file, record the reading with our screen recorder (shared tab with sound).
Why do I have so few voices?
The number of voices depends on your system. Chrome and Edge offer the most natural voices; on mobile, more voices can be downloaded in the accessibility settings.
Is my text sent anywhere?
Not to Chatzam. System voices work offline; online voices (marked with a cloud) are provided by your browser's maker, which then receives the text to read.
