Add Music to a Video
Drop your video, then your music (MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG…): keep the original sound in the background or replace it, and set the volumes, the start point and the fade-out. The MP4 you get is exactly as long as the video, with no watermark.

How do you add music to a video?
-
Drop the video
Drag your video (MP4, MOV, WebM…) into the box, or pick it from your phone's gallery or your computer.
-
Add the music and adjust
Drop the audio file, choose whether to keep the original sound (mixed) or replace it, then set the volumes, the start point, the loop and the fade. Play the video to hear the result.
-
Download the MP4
Start adding the music: the picture is copied without loss whenever possible, and the final video is exactly as long as the original.
Music that fits, in just a few settings
Mix or replace
Keep the original voices and sounds under the music, or replace the video's audio completely.
Two separate volumes
Set the music and the original sound anywhere from 0 to 200%, for example the music at 30% under someone talking.
Start point, loop and fade
Start the song at the chorus, repeat it if the video is longer, and end with a 3-second fade-out.
No watermark, no app
Nothing to install, no logo added: everything happens in your browser, and your files stay on your device.
Add music to a video on your phone or computer
A vacation clip, a birthday, an Instagram story, a video for TikTok or WhatsApp: music changes everything. Here, there's no need to download CapCut, InShot or Canva or to create an account: the page works in Safari on iPhone, in Chrome on Android and in any browser on a PC or Mac. Drop the video, then the song (MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, FLAC…), adjust, and download an MP4 that plays everywhere, with no watermark. The two files are put together on your device by FFmpeg: nothing is sent over the internet. Since the picture is usually copied as is, without re-encoding, it only takes a few seconds, even for a video several minutes long.
Keep the original sound or replace it?
Keep the original sound when the video has talking, laughter or atmosphere that matters: the music slides in underneath. To keep voices easy to understand, lower the music to around 20 to 40% and leave the original sound at 100%. Choose "Replace the sound" for a time-lapse, a filmed slideshow, or a video full of wind or engine noise: only the music will be heard. If the video has no sound at all, the music simply becomes its soundtrack. In every case, press play: the music starts with the video, so you get a faithful preview of the mix.
Pick the part of the song, the loop and the fade
Songs often start with a quiet intro. To jump straight to the chorus, play the music on its own in its player, pause it at the right spot, then tap "Start the music here", or set the start slider. If the song is shorter than the video, tick the loop option: it starts over as many times as needed. If it's longer, it's cut at the end of the video, and the 3-second fade-out keeps it from stopping abruptly. The final video always lasts exactly as long as the original. To shorten the video itself, go through "Cut / Trim Video" first.
Copyright: what music can you add to a video?
The tool accepts any audio file, but a commercial song is still protected by copyright. Posted on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or TikTok, a video that contains one can be blocked, muted or demonetized by these platforms' automatic detection. For a public video, choose royalty-free music, a track under a Creative Commons license (crediting the artist if the license requires it), something from the YouTube Audio Library, or your own creation. On TikTok or Instagram, you can also post the video without music and pick a sound from the app's own library, which is already licensed.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I add music to a video for free?
Drop the video, then the music, choose whether to keep or replace the original sound, set the volume and start the process. The MP4 you get is free, with no watermark and no sign-up.
Can I keep the video's sound when adding music?
Yes, that's the default setting: the music is mixed with the original sound. Two separate sliders control the volume of each, from 0 to 200%.
What happens if the music is shorter or longer than the video?
If it's shorter, it can loop until the end; without the loop, it stops and the rest of the video keeps only its original sound (or goes silent if you replaced it). If it's longer, it's cut at the end of the video, with a fade-out if you tick it. The video always keeps its exact length.
How do I make the music start at the chorus?
Play the music in its player, pause at the start of the chorus and tap "Start the music here". You can also move the "Music start" slider.
Can I use any song?
Technically yes, but a copyrighted song can get a video blocked or muted on YouTube, Instagram or TikTok. For anything public, choose royalty-free music or music you have the rights to.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The video and the music are combined in your browser with FFmpeg; only the engine is downloaded, once. Your files stay on your device.
