TikTok Transcript Generator
Paste the link of a TikTok video, an Instagram Reel, a Facebook video or an X post: the AI listens to the video and writes out what is said. You can copy the text, download it as a TXT or as SRT subtitles, and translate it.
- Free, no sign-up
- Text, TXT and SRT
- Optional translation
- Transcribed on your device
Privacy — The video link is sent to our server to fetch the sound, which is not kept. The transcription then happens in your browser: the audio is not sent to any transcription service. If you ask for a translation, the text is sent to our server to be translated, and it is not kept.
How do you get a transcript of a TikTok video?
-
Paste the video link
In TikTok, tap “Share” then “Copy link”, and paste it here. Pick the language spoken in the video (or leave automatic detection on) and the accuracy.
-
Start the transcription
The tool fetches the video's sound, then the AI transcribes it right in your browser. The first time, an AI model is downloaded once and then cached.
-
Copy, download or translate
The text appears, with or without timestamps. Copy it, download it as a TXT or as SRT subtitles, or translate it into another language.
The text of a video, ready to copy
A link is all you need
No need to download the video or upload it again: just paste its link. Works with TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook and X.
Transcribed on your device
Once the sound is fetched, the AI transcribes it in your browser, without sending the audio to a transcription service. The first launch downloads an AI model, which is then cached.
Timestamps and SRT subtitles
Show each sentence with its moment in the video, or download an SRT file to import into editing software or a video platform.
One-click translation
Translate the transcript into one of the 15 languages offered, then copy it or download it as a TXT.
Turn a TikTok video into text
A TikTok video is quick to watch but hard to quote, summarize or find again. This tool turns what is said in the video into text: paste the link, pick the spoken language, and the AI writes the transcript. You can then copy it, read it over, fix it in your word processor or download it. It's useful for reusing a tip, keeping the recipe from a cooking video, adding subtitles to your own video, or understanding content in a language you don't speak well.
How it works, and what stays on your device
The tool works in three steps. First, our server fetches the video's sound from the link. Then that sound is sent to your browser. Finally, the transcription is done on your device, by an AI model that runs inside the page: the audio is not sent to any transcription service. The first time, this model (about 40 to 80 MB depending on the accuracy you pick) is downloaded once, then kept in the cache for next time. “Fast” mode is lighter; “Accurate” mode makes fewer mistakes on difficult words.
Timestamped text, TXT and SRT subtitles
The result is shown as continuous text, or sentence by sentence with the moment it is spoken. The TXT button downloads the plain text; the SRT button downloads a subtitle file that you can import into CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Premiere, YouTube or any video player. The subtitles are generated automatically: a quick read-through lets you fix proper names, slang and the parts where music drowns out the voice.
Translate a TikTok, a Reel, a Facebook video or an X post
The same tool works with links to Instagram Reels, Facebook videos and X posts, as long as the video is public. Once you have the text, the “Translate” section converts it into the language you choose, for example to understand a video in Spanish, French or Japanese. Translation is limited to 20,000 characters, which easily covers a video of several minutes. The text is then sent to our server to be translated, and it is not kept.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a transcript of a TikTok video?
Copy the video link, paste it in the box at the top of this page, pick the spoken language and press “Transcribe”. After a moment the text appears: you can copy it or download it.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
It's free and needs no account. The only catch is the AI model of 40 to 80 MB that is downloaded the first time you use it, then kept by your browser.
Is my audio sent anywhere?
Our server fetches the video's sound from its link, but the transcription happens in your browser: the audio isn't sent to a transcription service. Only the text you choose to translate is sent to our server, and it is not kept.
Which languages are recognized?
Fifteen languages are offered, including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic and Japanese. Automatic detection works well in most cases; if the result looks strange, pick the language by hand.
What is the maximum video length?
There is no fixed limit, but transcribing happens on your device: a video of a minute or two takes a few dozen seconds, while a long video takes more time and memory. Keep the tab open while it works.
Why does the text contain mistakes?
The transcription is automatic. Loud music, a strong accent, slang or proper names can cause errors. Try the “Accurate” mode, pick the right language, then give the text a quick read-through.
