- Phone and computer
Privacy — The post link is sent to our server, which fetches the photos from Instagram and passes them on to you. Nothing is stored: not the link, not the photos. No Instagram account is required.
How do you download an Instagram photo?
-
Copy the post link
In the Instagram app, tap the share icon (the paper plane) under the post, then “Copy link”. On a computer, open the post and copy the address from your browser's address bar.
-
Paste it and start
Tap “Paste” (or press Ctrl+V in the field), then “Show photos”. Every photo in the post appears with its size in pixels.
-
Save the photos
Tap “Download” under the photo you want, or “Download all” to get the whole carousel in one ZIP file.
The photos from an Instagram post, in good quality
The best version available
The tool fetches the largest size Instagram offers for each photo, often 1080 pixels wide or more, not a thumbnail or a screenshot.
The whole carousel
A post with several photos? They all show up. Download the ones you want, or everything in a single ZIP file.
The post's videos too
If the post or carousel contains a video or a Reel, it appears alongside the photos and saves as an MP4.
Just a link to paste
No app to install and no Instagram account to connect: the post link is enough, even with the sharing parameters added at the end.
Save an Instagram photo without taking a screenshot
Instagram has no button to save a photo from someone else's account: you can only add it to your saved posts, which stay inside the app. Many people take a screenshot instead, but the picture ends up cropped, cluttered with buttons and often blurrier than the original. This tool downloads the photo itself, in the largest size Instagram makes available, as a JPG. Just copy the post link, paste it in the field at the top of this page and start: the photos appear with their dimensions in pixels, and an HD badge marks those that are at least 1080 pixels wide. You then save them with one tap, without installing an app or logging in to Instagram.
Download an Instagram photo on iPhone, Android or PC
On a phone, open the post in the Instagram app, tap the share icon then “Copy link”, and come back to this page in your browser. On an iPhone, the photo goes to Safari's downloads, which you can find in the Files app: open it, then choose “Save Image” to put it in Photos. On Android, it lands in the Downloads folder and shows up in your gallery. On a Windows PC or a Mac, simply copy the post's address from your browser's address bar: the photo is saved to your Downloads folder, ready to print or edit.
Get all the photos from a carousel
A carousel is a post that groups up to twenty photos or videos you swipe through. With this tool, they all appear at once, in the same order as the post. You can save just the ones you like, or tap “Download all”: the files are then bundled into a ZIP archive, built in your browser, which you open with a double click on a computer or from the Files app on a phone. Videos in the carousel are saved as MP4 and photos as JPG, with numbered file names to keep the order.
What this tool can't do
Only public posts can be fetched: posts from a private account stay out of reach, even if you follow it, and so do deleted posts and those whose author has turned off embedding on other sites. Stories, profile pictures and direct messages are not supported: you need the link to a post, a Reel or a carousel. Finally, a downloaded photo is still protected by copyright: keep it for personal use, and ask the author's permission before reposting it.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I download an Instagram photo?
Copy the post link (share icon, then “Copy link”), paste it in the field at the top of this page and tap “Show photos”. Then tap “Download” under the photo you want. It's free and needs no sign-up.
Are the photos in HD?
The tool fetches the largest size Instagram offers for each photo, often 1080 pixels wide or more. An HD badge appears on photos that are at least 1080 pixels wide. It can't get anything better than the version published on Instagram.
Can I download all the photos in a carousel?
Yes. Every photo and video in the carousel is shown: save them one at a time, or tap “Download all” to get them together in a ZIP file.
Can I download photos from a private account?
No. Only public posts are accessible. Posts from a private account, deleted posts and those whose author has turned off embedding can't be fetched.
Can I download a story or a profile picture?
No. The tool works with the link to a post, a carousel or a Reel (addresses like instagram.com/p/… or instagram.com/reel/…). Stories and profile pictures are not supported.
Does the author of the post get notified?
No. Instagram doesn't notify anyone about downloads made through an outside service. Do respect copyright, though: ask the author's permission before reposting a photo.
