Fades and slow zoom
A crossfade from one photo to the next, fade in and fade out from black, and, if you like, a gentle zoom in or out on each photo (Ken Burns effect).
Fit to the music
Choose how long each photo stays, from 1 to 10 seconds, or let the tool spread the song's length across all the photos. Audio fade-out at the end.
Landscape, story or square
16:9 for the TV and YouTube, 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and WhatsApp Status, 1:1 for Instagram. Photos sit on a blurred background, on black, or are cropped to fill.

Make a photo slideshow with music, free and with no watermark
A birthday, a wedding, a graduation, a retirement party, a vacation, a memorial, a baby's first year: a slideshow with music tells a story better than an album. Here, there's no need to install CapCut, Canva, PowerPoint or a paid app, or to create an account: the page works in Safari on iPhone, in Chrome on Android and in any browser on a PC or Mac. Add your photos and a song, choose a few settings, and download an MP4 file (H.264 and AAC) that plays everywhere: phone, computer, smart TV, USB stick, YouTube or WhatsApp. No logo is added to the video, and your photos never leave your device.
Birthday photo video: our tips
Sort your photos in chronological order: if their file names follow the order they were taken (IMG_0001, IMG_0002…), the "Sort by name" button does it for you; otherwise, drag them or use the arrows. Allow 3 to 5 seconds per photo: enough to look at it without getting bored. For a slideshow that ends right with the song, choose "Fit to music": the song's length is spread across the photos. With 40 photos and a 3-minute song, each photo stays about 4.5 seconds. The blurred background avoids black bars when a portrait photo appears in a landscape video, and the slow zoom adds movement, like in a documentary.
Which format to choose: 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1?
16:9 (landscape) suits a TV, a screen at a venue, YouTube and a computer. 9:16 (vertical) fills a phone screen: it's the format of Instagram and Facebook Stories, Reels, TikTok and WhatsApp Status. 1:1 (square) works well in an Instagram or Facebook feed. The preview shows the first photo in the format and background you chose. "Fill the screen" crops each photo so there are no borders, at the risk of cutting off a head at the top or bottom: save it for photos taken in the same orientation as the video.
How long does it take to create the video?
The video is rendered by your device, without being sent to a server: that's what makes it free and private, but it takes a little patience. In 720p, expect roughly the length of the slideshow on a recent computer, longer on a phone; 1080p and the slow zoom take about twice as long. The time remaining is shown during rendering: keep the page open and the screen on. For a very long slideshow, make it in several parts, then join them with "Merge Videos". To add music to a video you've already filmed, use "Add Music to Video".
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I make a video with photos and music?
Add your photos on this page, put them in order, drop in a song, choose the format and the time per photo, then tap "Create video". The MP4 downloads for free, with no watermark.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes, in Safari or Chrome, with no app. iPhone HEIC photos are accepted. On a phone, rendering is slower than on a computer: keep the screen on and the page open until it's done.
How many photos can I put in the slideshow?
Up to 200 photos per video, each shown for 1 to 10 seconds. For a longer slideshow, create several videos, then join them with "Merge Videos".
What happens if the song is shorter than the slideshow?
It starts over from the beginning until the video ends. If it's longer, it's cut at the end, with a few-second audio fade-out if that option is checked. To make everything line up, choose "Fit to music".
Are my photos uploaded to the internet?
No. The photos and the music are processed in your browser, on your device. Only the video engine is downloaded, once, the first time you create a video.
Can I make a slideshow without music?
Yes, music is optional: without it, the video is silent. You can always add some later with "Add Music to Video".
