Make a passport photo with your phone

The rules for a good ID photo
Stand in front of a plain, light background (light gray or light blue rather than pure white), with no object or pattern behind you. Look at the camera, face forward, mouth closed, neutral expression. The face should be sharp, well lit, and free of shadows: natural light from the front works best. Preferably remove your glasses, keep your forehead and eyes uncovered, and don't wear a hat or accessories. For the French 35×45 mm format, the head (from chin to top of the skull) generally measures between 32 and 36 mm: the guide marks help you get close to that. Each administration sets its own requirements, so check them before submitting your application.
ID card, passport, driver's license: watch for official photo codes
For an ID card or a passport, a printed photo that meets the standards may be accepted. Some administrations, however, require an online application to be submitted with a photo code delivered only by an approved photographer or photo booth — check your country's rules before applying. Our tool doesn't provide that kind of code: for those procedures, go through an approved professional. For a visa, requirements vary by country: check the relevant embassy's website. For every other use, our passport photo tool does the job perfectly.
