My mic isn't working: what to do?
First check that your browser has permission to use the mic (icon in the address bar). Make sure the mic isn't muted by a physical button or in system settings, and that it's selected as the input device. If you have several mics, test them one by one with the dropdown menu. Finally, close any apps that might already be using it.
A test with no hidden recording
The mic signal is analyzed locally to display the level. The playback recording stays in your browser and disappears when you close the page: nothing is sent over the internet.
