My webcam isn't working: solutions
Allow camera access in your browser's address bar. Close any apps that might be using it (Teams, Zoom, Skype…), since a camera often serves only one app at a time. Check the cover or the physical switch on some laptops, then select the right camera from the dropdown menu.
Improve your video call image
Place a light source in front of you rather than behind, position the camera at eye level, and clean the lens. Take a test photo to judge the result.

Is my image recorded or sent?
No. The image is only displayed on your screen; nothing is recorded or transmitted. Only the photo you choose to take is saved to your device.
Why is my image flipped?
Mirror mode is on by default, as in most video call apps. Uncheck “Mirror effect” to see the real image, the way others see you.
Why is the resolution lower than expected?
Some webcams reduce resolution in low light, or the cable and USB port limit the bandwidth. Try with more light or a different port.
