What is OCR?
OCR (optical character recognition) turns the text inside an image into text you can copy, edit, or search. It's useful for getting the content of a photographed document, a screenshot, a poster, or a book page, without retyping everything by hand.
For better results
Use a sharp, well-lit image, taken straight on. Choose the right language: it significantly improves recognition of accents and special characters. Printed text is recognized very well; handwriting much less so.
