Why turn a PDF into an image?
Some sites and apps only accept images: a profile photo, an online listing, a story, a WhatsApp message, a presentation, or a Word document. Converting a PDF page to JPG also lets you show an excerpt of a document without sharing the whole file. Each page becomes an independent image, easy to publish or crop.
Which resolution to choose: 72, 150, or 300 dpi?
72 dpi is enough for on-screen viewing and gives very lightweight files. 150 dpi is a good compromise for emails, social media, and office documents. 300 dpi produces sharp images even close up or when printed, but much heavier files: save it for pages whose fine print needs to stay legible.
And the other way around?
