Fill out a PDF form without printing it
Registration forms, certificates, scanned government forms, return slips, information sheets: many PDFs have no fillable fields. Instead of printing them to write by hand and then scanning them again, add your text directly where it's needed, check the right boxes, and insert the date. The result is more legible than a scanned handwritten note.
Editing a PDF: what this tool does (and doesn't do)
This tool adds elements on top of the pages: it doesn't rewrite the document's original text. To correct a date, an address, or an amount, place a white rectangle over the old text, then write the new value on top. This method covers most everyday needs without paid software. Password-protected PDFs aren't supported.
What about signing the document?
Once the form is filled out, open the “Sign a PDF” tool to add your handwritten signature. To combine the form with your supporting documents into a single file, use “Merge PDF” next. Everything happens in your browser: your document is never uploaded.

No, the original text can't be edited. You can, however, hide it with the white rectangle and write the new version on top.

My PDF is password-protected, what should I do?
Encrypted PDFs aren't supported. Open it with your password, save an unprotected copy, then upload that copy.
