Convert SVG to PNG
Drop one or more SVG files, or paste the code directly: choose the size (up to 4 times the original size, or an exact width in pixels) and the background, then get sharp PNGs or JPGs, one by one or in a ZIP.

How do you convert an SVG to PNG?
-
Add your SVGs
Drag one or more .svg files into the box, paste the SVG code into the field provided, or press Ctrl+V anywhere on the page.
-
Choose the size and background
1×, 2× or 4× the original size, or an exact width in pixels. Keep the transparency or add a background color, which JPG requires.
-
Download
Download each image on its own, or all of them together in a ZIP file, with the original SVG's name.
Sharp PNGs, at any size
Redrawn at the right size
An SVG is a vector drawing: it is recalculated at the size you choose, with no blur at all, whether for a small icon or a poster.
Transparent or colored
The PNG keeps the SVG's transparency. You can also add a white background or any color you like; JPGs always get one.
Several files at once
Convert a whole set of icons or logos in one go, and get them back in a ZIP, each with its original name.
File or pasted code
Paste the code of an SVG copied from a design app or a web page: it is checked and completed if needed before conversion.
SVG vs. PNG: why convert?
SVG is a vector format: the image is described by shapes and curves, not by pixels. That's ideal for a logo, an icon or an illustration, which stay sharp at any size. But many services only accept regular images: social networks, messaging apps, online marketplaces, print shops, online forms and some office software. PNG is then the best choice: it's a pixel image with no quality loss that keeps transparency. Converting your SVG to PNG gives you a file anyone can open, with a crisp logo and a transparent background.
Choose the size: 1×, 2×, 4× or custom width
An SVG's original size comes from its width and height attributes, or otherwise from its viewBox; the tool shows it for each file. At 1×, the PNG is exactly that size; at 2×, it's twice as large, which suits high-resolution (Retina) screens; at 4×, it becomes big enough for printing or large visuals. With "Custom width", you enter the exact number of pixels you want, for example 1080 for a social media post or 512 for an icon, and the height follows the drawing's proportions. Since the SVG is redrawn every time, even a very large size stays perfectly sharp. The only limit is the browser's: beyond 16,384 pixels per side, or 16 megapixels in total on iPhone and iPad, the image is scaled down and the tool tells you.
Transparent background, white background and JPG
A transparent PNG sits on any background: it's the format to choose for a logo on a website, in a video or in a presentation. A white background is useful for a document you'll print, or for a service that displays transparency as black. JPG doesn't support transparency at all: the SVG's transparent areas take the background color you choose, white by default. JPG produces lighter files for illustrations full of gradients, but it can create slight artifacts around text and flat areas of color, where PNG stays perfectly sharp. When in doubt, choose PNG.
If the result doesn't look like the original
The SVG is drawn by your browser as an image: for security, its code is never run in the page, and it can't load any external resources. This can cause two differences. Fonts that aren't embedded in the file are replaced by a font from your device: in your design app, convert the text to outlines (paths) before exporting the SVG. Images linked to another file or website don't show up, while images embedded in the SVG work fine. An SVG containing HTML code (a foreignObject tag) can't be converted: most browsers refuse to export it as an image. Finally, an animated SVG is converted in its starting state, as a still image.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I convert an SVG to PNG?
Drop your SVG file on this page (or paste its code), choose the size and background, then download the PNG. Several files can be converted at once and downloaded in a ZIP.
How do I get a high-resolution PNG?
Choose 2× or 4×, or enter a large width in pixels. Since the SVG is vector-based, it is redrawn at that size: the PNG stays sharp, without the blur of a simple enlargement.
Is the transparent background kept?
Yes, as a PNG with the "Transparent" option. In JPG, a format without transparency, the transparent areas take the chosen background color, white by default.
Can I convert SVG code without a file?
Yes. Paste the code into the "Or paste SVG code" field, or press Ctrl+V anywhere on the page: the SVG is added to the list and converted right away.
Why doesn't the text in my SVG have the right font?
The font isn't embedded in the file, so your browser replaces it. Convert the text to outlines in your design app before exporting the SVG, then run the conversion again.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion happens in your browser, on your device: your SVGs are neither uploaded nor stored. It's free and requires no sign-up.
