For a game username, start with the Hangul filler (U+3164). For WhatsApp or an Instagram bio, go with the braille blank (U+2800) instead.
-
Click "Copy"
The character goes to your clipboard. Need several? The generator copies anywhere from 1 to 5,000 in one go.
-
Paste it
Ctrl + V, Cmd + V on a Mac, or long-press then "Paste" on a phone, in the name or message field. If it's rejected, try the next variant.
Everything you need to type nothing
9 variants explained
Hangul filler, braille blank, ideographic space, non-breaking space, zero-width space… Each with its code, its width and what it's good for.
Bulk generator
Pick a character and a quantity, from 1 to 5,000, then copy them all. Shortcuts for an empty WhatsApp message, a blank name or a long blank.
Text tester
Paste a username or a message: the tool counts the characters, lists the invisible ones with their code and shows exactly where they hide.
One-click cleanup
Copy the text back without its invisible characters, handy when a copy-paste breaks a search, a login or a spreadsheet formula.
What is an invisible character?
An invisible character takes up a spot in a text but draws nothing on screen. The difference from a regular space matters: most apps strip spaces at the start and end of a field, and reject a name or a message made only of spaces. An invisible character, on the other hand, is seen by the software as a real letter, so the field accepts it. The best-known ones come from real writing systems: the Hangul filler (U+3164) is used in Korean to mark an empty syllable, the braille blank (U+2800) is the braille cell with no dots, and the zero-width space (U+200B) marks a spot where a word can break, without taking up any room. In the list above, the colored area between brackets shows the width of each one: as wide as a letter, normal like a space, or zero.
Invisible name in Fortnite, Roblox, Free Fire or TikTok
For an invisible name, the most popular character is ㅤ, the Hangul filler U+3164: paste it alone for a name that looks empty, or between two words to space them out. In Free Fire it's the classic trick behind stylish nicknames, and Roblox players use it in games like Brookhaven. Be aware that nothing is guaranteed: games and social networks fight blank names and change their rules with every update. Epic Games rejects many special characters in Fortnite display names, Roblox filters display names, and TikTok or Discord accept some variants depending on the app version. If your character is rejected, try the half-width Hangul filler (U+FFA0) or the choseong filler (U+115F), paste several in a row when a minimum number of characters is required, or mix it with a visible letter. And before confirming, check whether a name change costs anything in your game.
Send an empty message on WhatsApp or space out your bio
WhatsApp doesn't show the send button while the message is empty or contains only spaces. With a braille blank (U+2800), the generator's "Empty WhatsApp message" shortcut, the message goes through and the bubble looks empty. The same trick is often used for a group name or a status that looks blank. On Instagram and TikTok, empty lines in a bio are removed when you save: put a braille blank alone on a line and it's kept, which lets you space out or center your bio. To decorate that bio with bold, italic or cursive letters, the Fancy Text Generator works in the same fields.
Non-breaking space, zero-width space: everyday invisible characters
Not all invisible characters are gaming tricks. The non-breaking space (U+00A0) prevents a line break between a number and its unit, like 10 mph, or between a title and a name, like Mr. Smith. The zero-width space (U+200B) lets a long web address wrap. The left-to-right mark (U+200E) sets the text direction in a text that mixes Arabic or Hebrew with the Latin alphabet. But these characters also cause bugs that are hard to spot: a word copied from a web page that doesn't show up in a search, a rejected username, a spreadsheet formula returning an error. Paste the text into the test box: each invisible character appears in its place with its code, and the "Copy without invisible characters" button gives you a clean version. For other symbols (accents, quotation marks, thin spaces), see the Special Characters tool.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I make an invisible name?
Copy the Hangul filler (U+3164), or generate several, then paste them into the name field. If the game refuses, try U+FFA0 or U+115F, or add a visible letter: every game has its own rules.
How do I send an empty message on WhatsApp?
Click the "Empty WhatsApp message" shortcut, then the generator's "Copy" button: it copies a braille blank (U+2800). Paste it into the chat and send: the bubble looks empty.
Why isn't my invisible character working?
The app or game filters it, or requires a minimum number of visible letters, and these rules change with updates. Try another variant, several characters in a row, or a mix with a visible character.
Is an invisible character really empty?
It draws nothing, but it counts as a character: it has a Unicode code and software sees it. Paste it into the test box and its code is shown.
How do I find an invisible character hidden in a text?
Paste the text into the test box: each invisible character shows up in its place, with its code (U+200B, U+00A0…). The "Copy without invisible characters" button gives you a cleaned-up version.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, on both Android and iPhone: tap "Copy", then long-press in the field you want and choose "Paste".
